This year the week of Halloween provided several opportunities for fun memory making. Sunday afternoon was Ryan’s birthday party. Each year, her mom does an amazing job creating a fun atmosphere and the kids get to wear their costumes.
This was the 1st time we noticed Hudson actively and appropriately playing games with other children. It was a proud parent moment.
After the party, the boys came home and carved pumpkins. I was so proud of Tyson for being patient with Hudson as they worked together.
The second activity was on Tuesday evening. The cousins came over for dinner and then we went to the Y for their fall festival. The kids played games and decorated a cupcake. Everyone had a blast.
Our final activity was Trunk or Treat on Thursday evening. The kids got lots of candy, rode the hayride and ate popcorn. Too bad we forgot to take pictures!
This week really showed us the progress that Hudson has made in the last year. Last Halloween, he was a screaming , out-of-control maniac. He was overwhelmed. Hubby or I wore him the entire time. This year he was pleasant and interactive. He even managed “trick or treat” a few times.
