3 Things I Love About Our THREEnager

1. Every single trait, both positive and negative, reminds me of the incredible women in our family. Addison is strong, fiercely independent, and voices her opinions quickly (sometimes loudly!). She has a free spirit and loves to be silly. She loves the pretty things. She likes to be funny.

2. She loves her brothers. She will poke at Tyson and mother Hudson. We have said for a while now that she will rule over both of them and it has started.

3. She loves animals. Addison will dig in the dirt looking for worms and play with frogs. Every time we puppy-sit, she is sad when the dog goes home. In keeping with our tradition (family activity for odd number birthdays instead of a party), we went to the zoo. It was a brisk Sunday afternoon and the zoo was empty. It was a lot of fun to have the place to ourselves. The highlight (for us) was when a bird pecked at Addison’s finger. Unfortunately, it was a bit traumatic for her. If you ask her about her trip to the zoo, she says, “that bird! It bite me!” She still gets a bit worked up.
